Residential Support Workers – Part Time (71 hrs/fnt)
If you are committed to making a difference in the lives of young people and you have compassion and drive with a willingness to learn, then this could be the new challenge you have been looking for. Training will be provided in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, Strength Base Practice and ongoing relevant child protection needs. It will be necessary to work shift work, weekends and sleepovers as per a roster, be available for call in’s and prepared to partake in general household chores. You will be required to hold a current Qld driver’s licence as well as a current suitability notice from the Commission for Children and Young People – Working with Children Blue Card.
The Residential program is funded and supported by Child Safety Services and provides 24 hour are for children and young people aged 12 to 17 years who are subject to Child Protection Orders and who demonstrate high, complex or extreme support needs (ages and level of need may vary).
