DEEWR – Indigenous Australian Government Development Program (IAGDP) Recruitment, Applications open 12 April 2012

The IAGDP is an employment and development initiative administered by the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) on behalf of partnering Australian Public Service (APS) Agencies. The aim of the IAGDP is to increase the representation of Indigenous Australians in the APS by providing work experience and professional development.

To enable the department to attract as many suitable applicants as possible, please forward on to your networks, friends and family who may be interested.

The IAGDP offers eligible candidates:

• Ongoing (permanent) employment, initially at an APS 3 level;
• A Diploma qualification; and
• Access to additional structured learning and development courses.

Upon successful completion of the program (including the Diploma qualification), participants are advanced to an APS 4 level and will continue to work with their home agency.

In 2012, participants will complete a Diploma qualification which may include:

• Contract Management
• Project Management
• Community Capacity
• Information and Communication Technology
