Network Luncheons

Community Aspiration Program (CAP-ED) at the Office of Indigenous Engagement at CQUniversity.

The aim of the CAP-ED program is to inspire Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to explore study options at university.  The CAP-ED program will be hosting six network sessions and luncheons in various locations throughout the CQ region. These sessions will be in conjunction with a Central Qld Medicare Local and CQUniversity research project that explores Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people’s knowledge, experiences and perceptions of chronic disease conditions in the greater Rockhampton region. These luncheons will give Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people the opportunity to hear high calibre guest speakers share their stories and experiences of how study has impacted their life journeys and to also voice their understanding of chronic disease conditions.

The first of the sessions will be held on the 12th February from 10.00 am at the Community Health Centre, Bolsover Street, Rockhampton.

Please find attached to this email, flyers that explain the CAP-ED Network Luncheons and the Central Qld Medicare Local research sessions. If you would like further information please feel free to contact me on Ph: 07 4923 2018 or email: t.lamey@cqu.edu.au

The Untold Stories of CQUniversity Graduates

THE UNTOLD STORIES OF CQUNIVERSITY GRADUATES

CQUniversity is very aware that there are countless ‘Untold Stories’ of graduates who, thanks to their study at the University, are out in the community doing great things.

We’d like to record some of those stories to form a general repository for many CQUni communicators to draw from, showing ‘the difference we make’ in speeches, news releases, ads, funding submissions, brochures etc.

We don’t mind if you are a recent or distant past-grad, or if you took years to complete your studies or even if you just scraped through, we just want to be able to show that skills developed through your education at CQUni, are now being used to improve your life and the lives of others.

If you’re out there making a difference in the world thanks to the time you spent at CQUniversity, we want to hear from you.
