This one day training is designed to:

Ø  Explore who the LGBTI communities are

Ø  Reflect on our own feelings towards this population group

Ø  Gain a greater understanding of what it is like to life as a marginalised group in Australia today.

Ø  Reflects on the current legislation surrounding discrimination

Ø  Reviews the current policy framework for the aged care sector

Ø  Reflects on the specific health issues facing our LGBTI seniors and how to cater to these needs

Ø  Introduces the concept of organisational inclusivity and also personal inclusivity This training is very interactive with a range of activities and exercises, case studies and DVD footage to introduce and explore this topic in a safe and nonjudgmental way.
