Darumbal Community Youth Service Inc. and Dovetail is pleased to offer our “Young People and Drugs” (Y-Pad) Training.
 
Date:  21st April 2016
Time:  9am – 4.30pm
Venue:  Dremtime Cultural Centre (Nola James Building)
Cost:  $100 per person

This full-day workshop is an introduction to youth AOD work.  It targets practitioners who work directly with young people aged 10 – 25 years in a one-on-one capacity. For example, youth workers, alcohol and drug workers / clinicians, child safety officers, youth justice officers, residential support workers, youth support coordinators, school-based youth health nurses, indigenous health workers, mental health professionals, guidance officers, employment and vocational staff and other similar professionals are likely to benefit most from the course’s content.

Darumbal Community Youth Service Inc. AGM Notice

Darumbal Community Youth Service Inc. would like to announce that our AGM will be held at the DCYSI Office, 79b Bolsover Street, Rockhampton on 28 November 2014 at 12.00pm.

The agenda will include the election of Management Committee members; special resolutions for proposed Constitutional Amendments; the Audited Financial Statements (2013-14) and the President’s report.

We encourage all members to attend and participate on one of our Sub Committees or working parties.  If you are unable to attend, please complete the attached Proxy Form and return via email to admin@darumbal.org.au or drop into the office.

The successful applicants will be required to work shift work.  Shifts are 6pm to midnight.  The purpose of the positions are to provide support and safety services to young people engaging in risk behaviours in a public setting.

Dhaderrhi: Youth Substance Misuse Treatment Service

The incumbent will be responsible for providing coordinated therapeutic and cultural services for young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people within the Dhaderrhi: Youth Substance Misuse Treatment Service.  This will be achieved through establishing programs, service responses and collaborative partnerships to assist young people with substance abuse problems through outreach work; community education; diversionary activities; and case management.
