Community Announcement – Launch of Broncos Deadly Choices Program in Central Queensland

The NRMA Insurance Brisbane Broncos will formally launch its ‘Deadly Choices Partnership’ with the Bidgerdii Community Health Service in Rockhampton tomorrow to support local efforts to ‘close the gap’ in health outcomes by tackling the lifestyle risk factors that give rise to the high rates of preventable chronic disease within Indigenous communities.

The Partnership in Central Queensland will see the Brisbane Broncos working closely with the Institute for Urban Indigenous Health (IUIH) and local Community Controlled Health Services, including Bidgerdii Community Health Service in Rockhampton and the Nhulundu Wooribah Health Service in Gladstone, to implement healthy lifestyle campaigns and deliver tailored health education to local populations.

Bronco and Maroon Legend, Steve Renouf, will join Paul White, CEO of the NRMA Insurance Brisbane Broncos to the launch of the Partnership at Bidgerdii’s Richardson Road Clinic in Rockhampton tomorrow afternoon.

Our Deadly Choices Women’s Netball Day has now been locked in – 31st Of May – 27 Bellwood Street, Darra QLD 4076

This year our Women’s Netball day falls on World No Tobacco Day, so our team will be running education sessions around the Dangers Of Tobacco.

We will have prizes & a free lunch for players & managers.
