Volunteers needed

Volunteer positions available.

The Salvation Army is presenting Low Intensity Substance Intervention programs in the prison and if you have a passion to see peoples lives change, and have an interest in teaching people how to get help with addiction, then give us a call. The program is a Christian based recovery program that The Salvation Army has been using for the past 50 years in their recovery centres, and is called the Bridge Program.

The start date for this program will beĀ in the new financial year, and the position hours are yet to be organised, but may be one or two days a week. If you are interested please call us to make and appointment for an interview by contacting The Salvation Army in Park Street, on 49235600 , or contact Jenny Wayman by email – jenny.wayman@aue.salvationarmy.org

You must be willing to undergo a Corrections Police Check, and also a 2 hour induction at the Correctional Centre before you will be able to assist. If you have had previous work in this area, or enjoy teaching, this would be an advantage.
