2012 Indigenous Mentoring Programs

The Community Services Skilling Plan is pleased to offer two Indigenous Mentoring Programs early in 2012. Please see the attached Fact Sheet, Mentoree Registration and Mentor Registration forms along with Flyers with specific workshop details for these 2 locations.

� Brisbane North/Caboolture/Sunshine Coast region, March-September – Registration due 19 March.

� Central Qld (Rockhampton) – May-November – Registration due 20 April.

Please forward through your networks in these regions.

There will also be the IMP New Trainer Program (for past & present IMP or those with mentoring experience in the sector) held in August in Brisbane with more information available closer to dates.

RYIN presentation

I am currently seeking expressions of interest from local youth based charities to be the recipient of the funding raised through Rockfest. Please find attached the expression of interest for Rockfest. The venue has changed this year due to the closure of the Music Bowl. This year is set to be a biggun’ at the Rockhampton Showgrounds on Friday April 13th from 3pm to 9pm. We will have a host of bands, demonstrations, youth service stalls and sideshow alley. If you have any questions, please let me know. Applications close on 2nd March at 2pm.

Central Murri Young Guns Rugby 7’s Team Sponsorship

The Central Murri Young Guns rugby union team are urgently looking for sponsors for their dress shirts, shorts, socks & water bottles. They are putting a team in the Rugby 7’s carnival that is going to be held in Rocky in March.

Sponsors would have their names appropriately displayed on the gear they are sponsoring and a certificate of appreciation from the team.
