Alcohol and Other Drugs counsellor

Hi folks, Bidgerdii now has the services of a part time AOD counsellor. This service is free and operates on a fortnightly basis, commencing 16 February.

Attached is the referral form that service.

As a bit of a general update, Bidgerdii has relocated all of its programs to the Richardson Road clinic with all clinical staff now operating from Bolsover Street.

As part of the programs team, the AOD counsellor will operate from the Shop 3 – 287 Richardson Road.

EOI – Senior Medical Receptionisit


Expressions of Interest are being sought, both internally and externally (via SEEK) for a Senior Medical Receptionist.

The incumbent will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of reception and associated functions ensuring they are carried out in accordance with agreed procedures, protocols and time-scales, reporting to the Clinic Team Leader/Practice Manager as necessary.

Further, the incumbent will facilitate effective communication between patients, members of the primary health care team, secondary care and other associated healthcare agencies as well as undertaking a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practice.

This position will be based at the Rockhampton – Bolsover St clinic, and will provide training and peer support to other Receptionists across the organisation.

To apply for this position, applicants will need to possess a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role.

Bidgerdii – Community Relations Overview

The community Relations Team is responsible for organising Bidgerdii’s community events and functions (Healthy Active Community Days, Sorry Day, Daffodil Day etc), linking partnerships with other community organisations.  Giving presentation about Bidgerdii and the new model of care.  Delivery of cultural awareness (Torres Strait) sessions as well as our programs which can be found on the inside of the brochure.
