Milbi would like to advise that we are moving office today 12/07/13. Our office will be closed from 5pm today and will reopen at the following office locations on 13/07/13 (Monday).

Milbi Community Justice Group Program have a partnership with Anglicare, Capricornia CQ and we will share office accommodation with the Anglicare Counseling Services at Level 1/14 Fiztroy Street, Rockhampton.

Milbi Young Offender Support Services have a partnership with Employment Services Queensland and will be located at 186 Musgrave Street, North Rockhampton.

We would like to advise that all telephone and internet lines will be disconnected as at 12/7/13, and Telstra have advised that it could take 10-15 days for our email systems to be working.

After 27 years of providing Residential Accomodation, it is time for a complete Make Over & Renovations. This will allow Milbi to continue to provide quality accomodation services for disasvantaged people within
our community.

This week being Reconcilition Week, Milbi Farm Hostel is launching Milbi Farm River Block Make Over & renovations, and we are inviting the Construction Industry and our Community to be apart of the Milbi
River Block Make Over & Renovations.

RE: Stronger Together and Mentoring Programs (OATSIH FUNDING) .

Milbi Incorporated are writing to advise that Milbi Incorporated (Milbi), was advised by the Department of Health & Ageing, Office of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health (OATSIH), that Milbi’s funding for the Health Services Unit – Stronger Together and Mentoring Program will cease as at 30/08/12.

What does this mean for Milbi, Health Services?

· Milbi Health Services, Stronger Together and Mentoring Programs will cease services on 30/08/12.
· Milbi will no longer be funded to provide Substance Misuse (Drug & Alcohol) Services

o Counselling
o Linking our Community with Role Models/Mentors; and
o Outdoor Recreational Activities.

(Please be advised that Milbi Incorporated, God-willing, will endeavor to provide a Substance Misuse, Drugs and Alcohol services in the future)

What is Beyond 2012 for Milbi Incorporated?

Milbi Incorporated will provide the following services:

· Milbi Farm (funded by Aboriginal Hostels Ltd)– Short – Term Accommodation
· Yoombooda gNujeena Community Justice Panel (funded Dept of Justice & Attorney –General ) – Court support, victims support, ending offending program, women’s program and community involvement.
· Milbi Inc Listen and Learn Young Offender Support Service (Currently Dept of Communities but transitioning to Dept of Justice & Attorney-General) – support to young people and their families that are involved with Youth Justice Services.
· Mount Belmont – property available to community organisations from Mon – Fri 9.00am to 5.00pm (cost involved) .
· Club 500 Employment and Training Solutions – Registered Training Organisation
