PCYC would like- to notify all Youth Connections clients, associated families, stakeholders, and partnering services of some major changes to the delivery of the Youth Connections Program across the QLD11 Fitzroy Service Region in 2014.
As of midnight the 31st Dec 2013, QPCYWA will be solely responsible for the service delivery of the Youth Connections Program across the entire QLD Fitzroy service region, and will end the sub contracting arrangement with Red Cross who have delivered the program for the past 3 years under this arrangement. The decision to end the partnership with RED CROSS has not been made lightly and QPCYWA would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the great work that has been achieved by the RED CROSS team over this period, their efforts and dedication have not gone unnoticed by the Dept of Education, QPCYWA and other services in the youth sector.
Many factors have been considered by our QPCYWA State Office Management and the Board of Directors to finalise this decision which has been driven by a need to align QPCYWA branches with the collective and strategic operational plans for 2015 and beyond.
So it is with regret that we inform you that, as of the 13th Dec 2013, the RED CROSS Denham Street office, that has been providing the Youth Connections Service, will close it doors.
Be advised however, that the Youth Connections service will not completely cease as QPCYWA will continue to deliver the Youth Connections Program in 2014 at a new premise located at 192 Dean St Berserker, Rockhampton. (Please see attached Poster).
PCYC will be striving over the next few weeks to ensure that these changes are widely distributed and accessible to the community, to ensure that these transitional changes, relating to the Youth Connections Service are as smooth as possible.
Please see below the Youth Connections Christmas Closure period advised by RED CROSS and approved by the Dept of Education.
