Trainees who successfully complete this program are eligible to receive the nationally recognised qualification Certificate IV in Justice (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander).
Police recruiting are currently in the process of developing a new Indigenous Cadet Program (ICP) aimed at attracting post high school graduates (between the ages of 18-20 years) who aspire to becoming either a police officer or alternatively a civilianised employee with an attainment of a Coxswain Certification, working on Water Police Vessels around respective regions in Queensland.
